APC Schedules National Convention for March 2026

The All Progressives Congress has announced that its national convention will take place from March 25 to 28, 2026. Party leaders say the four‑day event will be the centrepiece of the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections.

Ahead of the convention, the APC has released a detailed schedule of congresses that will kick off at the ward and local government levels in February. These grassroots gatherings will feed into state and zonal congresses slated for early March, ensuring a bottom‑up approach to delegate selection.

Forms for various party positions will go on sale from March 12 to 17, with aspirant screening set for March 19 and 20. The party’s National Executive Committee approved the timetable to guarantee a transparent and orderly process.

By aligning the convention and congress calendar, the APC aims to present a united front and lay the groundwork for its campaign strategy as the country heads toward the next electoral cycle.
