Chocolate City Music has publicly accused Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck of physically assaulting one of its staff members during the Rhythm Unplugged concert in Lagos, in what the record label describes as a dangerous escalation of an ongoing dispute. The incident is said to have occurred in the backstage area of the high‑profile event and involved the rapper allegedly headbutting the employee, resulting in injuries that required medical care.
In an official statement, Chocolate City outlined a series of alleged confrontations between Odumodublvck and members of its team, saying the attack was part of a “sustained pattern of harassment and physical intimidation” linked to a long‑running feud involving the label’s artist Blaqbonez. The management said eyewitness accounts claimed Odumodublvck made threatening remarks before the alleged assault and that his associates poured drinks on the injured staff member while shouting expletives about the company.
The label confirmed that the injured employee is receiving treatment and said it has escalated the matter to the authorities, vowing to pursue all available legal avenues to protect its staff and artists. Chocolate City also urged event organisers and industry stakeholders to enhance security measures at live shows to prevent further violence.
Odumodublvck’s team has not yet issued a formal response to the allegations, and the feud between him and the Chocolate City camp has previously included online clashes and legal actions, including a court summons related to alleged criminal intimidation connected to the dispute.
