The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that Nigeria will not be Islamised, insisting that any perceived agenda along those lines has failed.

Speaking during a recent church service, Oyedepo expressed strong confidence in the unity and resilience of the nation, stating that Nigeria’s diversity remains intact despite security and religious tensions experienced in recent years. He maintained that the country’s constitutional foundations and collective will of the people would not allow domination by any religious ideology.

The cleric also addressed the lingering challenge of insecurity, particularly armed banditry in forest regions across parts of the country. According to him, criminal activities often masked by ethnic or group identities are nearing an end, as decisive actions by authorities and heightened public awareness continue to weaken such networks.

Oyedepo emphasized that peace and stability are essential for national development, urging Nigerians not to lose hope but to remain steadfast in prayers and constructive engagement. He added that fear should not be allowed to define the nation’s future.

His comments come amid ongoing efforts by the Federal Government and security agencies to combat banditry, terrorism, and other violent crimes that have affected several states.

While the remarks have generated mixed reactions across social and religious circles, many observers note that they reflect growing public frustration over insecurity, as well as renewed calls for unity, justice, and effective governance in Nigeria.
