The Igbo World Union has extended New Year greetings to Ndigbo across the world, calling for renewed unity, purposeful leadership, and collective advancement as the year begins.
In a New Year goodwill message, the President General of the Union, His Imperial Majesty, Ambassador Mishak Nnanta KJW, Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum, described the New Year as a season of fresh resolve, reflection, and recommitment to the shared values that define the Igbo people wherever they reside.
He noted that the turning of the year offers an opportunity for Ndigbo at home and in the diaspora to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, promote peace, and pursue development anchored on hard work, integrity, and enterprise. According to him, unity of purpose remains the strongest foundation for preserving Igbo cultural heritage and advancing sustainable progress across Alaigbo.
His Imperial Majesty urged Igbo youths to channel their creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit toward innovation and community development, while calling on elders and leaders to provide guidance rooted in justice, fairness, and accountability. He stressed that responsible leadership and mutual respect are critical to navigating present challenges and securing a prosperous future.
In a strong note of assurance, Ambassador Mishak Nnanta KJW, Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum, reaffirmed that the Igbo World Union remains firmly committed to protecting the interests, dignity, and collective aspirations of Ndigbo worldwide. He assured that the Union will continue to serve as a unifying platform for dialogue, advocacy, cultural promotion, and strategic engagement aimed at strengthening the Igbo voice both nationally and globally.
The Igbo leader also offered prayers for peace, security, and economic stability in Nigeria and across the global community, expressing confidence that the New Year will usher in growth, renewed hope, and improved welfare for families and communities.
On behalf of the Igbo World Union, His Imperial Majesty wished all Ndigbo a peaceful, fruitful, and prosperous New Year, assuring them of the Union’s unwavering dedication to unity, cultural pride, and coordinated development throughout the year ahead.
