FCTA Staff Threaten Strike, Demand Immediate Resolution of Pay and Promotion Disputes

Workers under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) have threatened to go on strike if the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, does not resolve lingering issues within seven days.

The staff are demanding the payment of overdue salaries, pension arrears, and completion of pending promotions. They also raised concerns over delayed allowances, poor working conditions, and alleged intimidation of employees.

The unions have urged the government to act swiftly to prevent disruption of public services, emphasizing that workers are ready to take industrial action if their demands are not addressed promptly.
