Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has called on youths from the South-East to consider enlisting in the Nigerian military as a way of contributing to national security and development.
The governor made the appeal while addressing young people in the region, stressing the need for greater South-East representation in the armed forces. He noted that participation in the military offers opportunities for personal growth, discipline, and service to the nation.
Soludo emphasized that joining the armed forces should be seen not just as a job, but as a patriotic duty that allows young Nigerians to play an active role in safeguarding the country’s unity and stability.
He encouraged interested youths to take advantage of ongoing recruitment exercises, assuring them that increased involvement would help strengthen trust, inclusion, and balance within the nation’s security architecture.
