United Airlines Plane Suffers Nose Gear Failure During Orlando Landing

A United Airlines flight from Chicago to Orlando experienced a dramatic landing at Orlando International Airport when one of its nose wheels detached as the aircraft touched down amid stormy weather and strong winds.

The Airbus A321neo, operating as Flight UA2323, was carrying about 200 passengers and six crew members when the incident occurred. The nose wheel broke off during the rough touchdown, leaving the aircraft unable to taxi to the gate.

Airport authorities and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) responded quickly, temporarily grounding other flights while crews secured the runway and removed the disabled plane. Despite the frightening moment and the runway disruption, no injuries were reported and all passengers were safely evacuated.

Passengers were bused to the terminal after disembarking on the taxiway, and airport operations resumed after the runway was cleared. Investigations into the cause of the incident, including whether the severe weather contributed, are expected to continue.
