Nigeria’s national table tennis teams will on Monday learn their opponents for the 2026 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships in London, as the draw ceremony gets underway at The Shard in the UK capital.
Both the men’s and women’s sides will find out who they face in the opening round of the global tournament, which runs from April 28 to May 10 and features 64 teams in each category.
Nigeria and continental rivals Egypt are among the African nations competing, with qualifiers earned through strong performances at recent regional championships. The event also marks the centenary anniversary of the International Table Tennis Federation, returning to England where the first edition was staged in 1926.
The draw will set the stage for Nigeria’s campaign as they aim to challenge some of the world’s best teams in pursuit of table tennis glory.
