Governor Otti explained that the initiative is part of the state government’s efforts to improve public transportation and make commuting more affordable for residents. He emphasized that the free service aims to reduce transportation costs while promoting environmentally friendly travel.

The governor also highlighted that the electric bus program is a key component of Abia State’s broader plan to modernize its public transport system and encourage the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions. He noted that citizens have responded positively to the service since its launch.

Officials confirmed that the free operation will continue through February, after which the government will review the program. Governor Otti urged residents to take advantage of the opportunity and experience the benefits of the state’s electric bus network.
