Questions Mount Over ₦100bn Withdrawal Linked to Tinubu Government

Paul Ibe, media adviser to former Vice‑President Atiku Abubakar, has raised concerns over a ₦100 billion withdrawal linked to President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He claims the transaction may not have followed proper authorisation procedures and is demanding clarity from the presidency.

Ibe described the withdrawal as a “serious breach of financial protocol,” emphasizing the need for transparency in government spending. He insisted that citizens have the right to know how public funds are being managed, especially when such large sums are involved.

The aide urged the government to provide a detailed account of the transaction, including who approved it and the purpose for which it was used. He warned that failing to do so could further erode public trust in the administration’s financial management.

This development comes amid broader discussions on accountability and oversight in public finances. Many observers believe that addressing these issues openly could strengthen confidence in government institutions and ensure responsible handling of national resources.
