Abuja – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise to 8th February 2026, a week beyond the initial deadline of 31st January.

The decision was taken by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) during its 183rd meeting on Friday, 30th January, at the APC national secretariat in Abuja. The extension aims to give more supporters and members the opportunity to register and validate their membership.

In the same statement, the party confirmed that its Ward Congresses will now hold on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, while the National Convention has been rescheduled for 27th–28th March 2026.

The APC noted that Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are excluded from the Ward Congresses due to upcoming elections, while Rivers State is exempt as the tenure of its current executive committees is still ongoing.

The party also announced the constitution of the National Convention Planning Committee, adding that further details, including the full timetable for congresses and convention activities, as well as the committee’s composition, will be disclosed later.
