The 10-month-old granddaughter of American rapper Snoop Dogg has died following prolonged medical challenges linked to her premature birth, her mother has confirmed.

Codi Dreaux, the daughter of Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s youngest child, passed away on January 26, according to a message shared by Broadus on Instagram Stories.

In an emotional post, Broadus shared a black-and-white photograph of herself holding the infant and wrote: “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” alongside an angel wing emoji.

The baby’s father, Wayne Deuce, also confirmed the tragic news in a separate social media tribute. Posting photos of himself with the child, he expressed deep sorrow, writing: “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.”

Codi was born in February 2025 at just 25 weeks gestation, arriving nearly three months earlier than expected. Broadus had previously revealed that the pregnancy was high-risk and that the baby was delivered through an emergency caesarean section after she developed HELLP syndrome — a serious condition involving liver complications and low platelet levels.

Following her birth, Codi spent almost ten months in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Throughout that period, Broadus frequently updated supporters on her daughter’s condition, celebrating medical milestones and thanking well-wishers for prayers.

In early January 2026, Broadus announced that the baby had finally been discharged from hospital and brought home, writing simply: “She’s home,” while expressing gratitude for the support received during the difficult journey.

No official cause of death has been released. The infant’s passing comes only weeks after her discharge from intensive care.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., has not yet made a public statement. The rapper is a father of four and grandfather to several grandchildren.

The news has sparked an outpouring of sympathy from fans and followers across social media.
