Ifeyinwa Osime Takes Helm as Access Bank Board Chairman

Access Bank Plc has announced the appointment of Ifeyinwa Osime as its new Board Chairman, following the retirement of Paul Usoro on January 29, 2026. The transition marks a new phase in the bank’s leadership.

Osime, a respected legal practitioner and governance expert, has been a member of the bank’s board since November 2019 as an Independent Non‑Executive Director. During her tenure, she led several key committees, including Human Resources and Sustainability and Governance, Nomination, and Remuneration.

Her promotion is part of Access Bank’s broader plan to strengthen board leadership and enhance corporate governance, ensuring strategic priorities are effectively executed.

The bank highlighted Osime’s extensive experience as a valuable asset in steering the board, enhancing decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth for shareholders and stakeholders.

The company secretariat confirmed the appointment, expressing confidence in her ability to guide the board and oversee the bank’s continued expansion and operational excellence.
