Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development and President of Masters Energy Group, Uche Ogah, has explained his decision to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Abia State Governor Alex Otti for second terms in office, saying his position is based on leadership performance and national development priorities rather than party considerations.

Ogah said his support reflects what he described as ongoing reforms at both the federal and state levels. Speaking on President Tinubu’s administration, he pointed to efforts aimed at economic restructuring, institutional strengthening, and policy decisions he believes are designed to stabilize the nation’s long-term growth path. He noted that such reforms often come with short-term pressures but argued that decisive leadership is necessary to reset systems and address structural challenges. On the state level, he said similar reform-driven governance is visible in Abia, where policy direction, fiscal discipline, and institutional changes are, in his view, laying a foundation for sustainable development.

He acknowledged that endorsing leaders across party lines may draw political debate but maintained that democracy allows room for independent judgment. Ogah said national and state progress require cooperation beyond partisan boundaries, stressing that the welfare of citizens must come before political differences.

On Abia State, he pointed to what he described as renewed focus on infrastructure, governance reforms, and fiscal management under Governor Otti, adding that continuity would help consolidate early gains. At the national level, he said sustained reform momentum is essential to addressing Nigeria’s economic and institutional challenges.

Ogah expressed confidence that both leaders have demonstrated the resolve needed to continue reforms, saying their second terms would deepen stability, strengthen public institutions, and create a more secure foundation for development.
