Members of the Abia Rejoice Movement have been encouraged to get properly registered and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards as part of efforts to strengthen civic participation and readiness for the democratic process in Abia State.
The Founder of the movement, Dr. Uche Ogah, spoke to newsmen on Monday, highlighting the rapid growth of the group, also known as ARM, across all Local Government Areas of the state. He noted that the grassroot movement has built a strong base among the people through consistent engagement and community level organization.
The former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development and President of Masters Energy Group, Ogah said the structure and reach of ARM position it as a major stakeholder in Abia’s political landscape. According to him, the movement has developed the capacity to influence voter strength due to its widespread acceptance and coordinated presence at the grassroots.
Ogah stressed that obtaining a Permanent Voter Card is a vital civic step that empowers citizens to take part in shaping leadership and governance through lawful electoral participation whenever the opportunity arises.
“We have the largest political movement in Abia State, spanning through all the Local Government Areas of the state and has the capacity to determine voter strength in the state. Get registered and arm yourself with your PVC, you will use it at the appropriate time,” he said.
The Abia Rejoice Movement continues to project itself as a unifying platform, drawing support from diverse communities and reinforcing its message of collective political responsibility across the state.
