The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has called for greater Christian participation in the upcoming 2027 general elections, stressing that inclusive involvement from all faiths is essential for national unity.

At a press briefing in Lagos, the group’s leadership highlighted that Christians constitute a significant portion of the population and should be actively engaged in Nigeria’s democratic processes, including in leadership and electoral roles.

The PFN also defended the current INEC Chairman, insisting that calls for his removal are unwarranted and could set a negative precedent. They emphasized that the chairman should remain in office and continue to contribute to the electoral process.

While urging fairness in political appointments, the fellowship refrained from specifying candidates, leaving such decisions to political parties. They also condemned acts of violence against citizens and called on the government to strengthen measures that protect lives and promote peace ahead of the 2027 elections.
