A senior Abia government representative has stated that the state is witnessing rising investor attention due to reforms and development efforts introduced by Governor Alex Otti.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ gathering in Umuahia, the official said recent policy decisions and infrastructure upgrades have improved confidence in the state’s economic direction. He noted that business operators are beginning to see Abia as a safer and more profitable place to commit funds.

According to him, the administration’s focus on transparency, financial discipline, and ease of doing business is helping to reposition the state for long-term growth. He added that multiple sectors, including manufacturing and services, are already showing early signs of expansion.

The aide also reaffirmed his continued membership of the Labour Party, stressing that his support for the governor’s development agenda is based on performance and results rather than political pressure.
