The Federal Road Safety Corps has launched a fresh public awareness campaign in Anambra State aimed at promoting safer behaviour among road users and reducing traffic crashes.
The initiative focuses on educating motorists, pedestrians, and commercial operators on responsible road use, with officials stressing the need for strict adherence to traffic rules. The campaign is designed to strengthen safety consciousness and encourage discipline on highways across the state.
As part of the programme, officers are engaging communities through outreach activities, distributing informational materials, and highlighting common causes of accidents such as speeding, overloading, and careless driving. The agency believes sustained sensitisation will help reduce injuries and fatalities on the roads.
The corps also called on residents to take personal responsibility for safety and support ongoing efforts to create a more orderly and secure road environment throughout the state.
