The Federal Government has filed a new criminal charge against prominent legal practitioner Mike Ozekhome and Ponfa Useini at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja.

The case involves a 12-count charge, with both defendants accused of offences linked to alleged forgery and falsification of official documents.

According to the allegations, the defendants were said to have collaborated in 2020 to produce a fake Nigerian international passport and presented it as a genuine document. Authorities claim the passport was falsely portrayed as having been issued by the Nigeria Immigration Service.

The matter is still in its early stage, as it has not yet been assigned to any judge for hearing and determination.
