Fake Orphanage Exposed in Abuja as Police Save Dozens of Children

Security operatives from the Federal Capital Territory Police Command have dismantled a suspected child trafficking operation in Abuja, rescuing 21 children during a targeted raid.

The breakthrough came after concerned members of the community alerted authorities to suspicious movements around a facility posing as a care home. Investigations revealed that the location was allegedly being used as a front to recruit and transport children under false pretenses.

Police reports indicate that the group preyed on vulnerable families, offering assurances of better opportunities for their children. Instead, the minors were reportedly diverted into illegal channels, raising serious concerns about exploitation and abuse.

All rescued children have been placed under protective custody, where they are receiving care while officials work to trace their families. Law enforcement agencies have also intensified efforts to track down other members of the syndicate believed to be operating beyond the area.

Authorities have called on the public to stay vigilant and promptly report any unusual activities, especially those involving children and unverified welfare homes.
