Female Officer Injured During NSCDC Operational Drill in Abuja

A training exercise in Abuja turned alarming when a female officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was accidentally hit by an operational vehicle during a routine drill.

The accident happened as units carried out coordinated maneuvers in a “show of force” display. Sources on the ground reported that the vehicle, moving within the formation, struck the officer before safety measures could prevent the collision.

The officer received immediate medical attention and was transported to a nearby hospital. Officials have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances that led to the incident and to prevent similar accidents in future exercises.

The event has sparked discussions on improving safety measures during drills, particularly those involving moving vehicles and large teams of personnel.
