The gesture has drawn widespread praise from local residents.

During the commissioning ceremony, Mrs. Otti described Mama Anosike’s story as one of extraordinary resilience. Despite losing her children and facing years of hardship, Mama Anosike has remained a pillar of strength and a source of hope in her community.

Represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr. Maureen Ahukwa, Mrs. Otti explained that Governor Alex Otti acted promptly upon learning about the widow’s difficult living conditions, directing that she be provided with a safe and comfortable home. The First Lady emphasized that her office continues to support widows and vulnerable groups across the state, reinforcing their sense of dignity and belonging.
