In a dramatic turn of events, Chief Obinna Udekama has publicly retracted his earlier claims that Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engineer David Umahi, owed him ₦7 million. Udekama, whose video statement had gone viral, described his previous outburst as “malicious” and motivated by anger and frustration.

Addressing the public, Udekama clarified that Minister Umahi does not owe him personally and expressed deep remorse for his actions. “I hereby wish to apologise publicly and ask His Excellency, Senator David Umahi, to forgive me,” he said.

In his statement, Udekama praised Senator Umahi’s integrity and character, pledging never to repeat such behavior. “On behalf of my family, wife, and well-wishers, I publicly apologise. Should I renege in any form, I ask my leader to take legal action without notice,” he affirmed.

Udekama concluded by emphasizing his commitment to peaceful resolution and law-abiding conduct, stating, “God help me. God bless my leader, most distinguished Senator, Engineer David Umahi.”
