Facts Over Fantasy: Amb. Offor Exposes Gap Between Benjamin Kalu’s Promises and Governor Otti’s Delivery

As a stakeholder in the Abia State project that has ushered in a new Abia of our dreams.
I, Hon. Udoeze Kalu, convener of Abia North Youth Agenda (ANYA), reiterate that people like one Daniel Akwari, a man who is still sucking from the feeding bottle of Rt. Benjamin Kalu as a member of SEDC, upon whose motivation he speaks, obviously lacks moral justification to speak evil against a man of integrity like Ambassador Dr Osita Offor, “De Ultimate Commander,” (Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia Ancient Kingdom).

I find it necessary to address his ignorance in his recent attempt, as this associate of the “Old Brigade” in a newfound party consistently strives to distort facts and misrepresent history.

Ndi Abia deserve the truth, and it is time to set the record straight.

For clarity’s sake and as a statement of fact, Ambassador Offor’s unconditional support for Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, has never been about personal gain or political positioning as they imagine.
He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the progress of a New Abia, contributing resources and expertise to further encourage the governor on the tangible developments being witnessed all over the state. His principled decision to partner with Dr. Alex Otti’s administration for good governance, and the undeniable infrastructural development as well as industrialisation drives, is born out of passion for humanity and conviction in Governor Otti’s Midas touch in leadership—a demonstration of Ambassador Offor’s integrity—showing that his support is rooted in genuine concern for Ndi Abia and not in the pursuit of power or titles.

To keep the record straight, dispel all “ikota onu,” and to further inform the blind critics, it is important to note that Ambassador Offor was the one who revived wrestling in Nigeria and most African countries.
His genuine support for humanity, irrespective of colour or skin, led him to sponsor various wrestling tournaments in different countries, including South Africa, as can be testified by the likes of former Nigeria’s strongest man and South African-based wrestler, Mr Perfect, as well as the Anambra-born, South Africa-based Big Joe a.k.a. The Bulldozer, and King James, an Isuikwuato-born, Canadian-based and American wrestler, who achieved their dreams courtesy of Ambassador Osita Offor, just to mention a few.

In hearing the testimonies of others, Kilimanjaro found his way and got the rare privilege of meeting the champion one-on-one in South Africa and introduced himself as a Nigerian with many problems who was ready to die. Ambassador Osita Offor, moved by passion after hearing the numerous challenges he was going through, helped him bounce back to his feet and further introduced him to the media.

It is a blatant lie that Ambassador Offor repeatedly visited Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu for mentorship. The only visit he made was after Ben Kalu’s attack by UGM in his Bende office during the campaign—a gesture of friendship and solidarity. During that visit, Ambassador Offor spent a significant amount of cash on Benjamin Kalu’s boys—including, I am sure, Mr Akwari—going as far as ensuring stranded followers were accommodated in hotels in Umuahia. Out of excitement, some of Kalu’s aides even escorted Offor’s convoy to Umuahia. Some of Kalu’s psychophants should verify facts from their Boss before publicly displaying an avoidable level of ignorance.

It is verifiable that Ultimate Commander has never collected a penny from Hon. Ben Kalu or any other politician in Abia State; if anything, it is Kalu’s circle that often comes seeking support and fails to honour their obligations—a story for another day.

In another clear example of his generosity, Ambassador Offor personally flew from the United States to visit Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa to help design the Bende-Abam-Ohafia road because the road’s dilapidated state pains him every time he travels to Ohafia. He intended to collaborate with the Honourables, the two representatives sharing responsibility for the road project. Today, Rt. Honourable Ben Kalu continues to sit on the matter while publicly claiming credit for a supposed “billion-naira attraction”—a claim that Ndi Abia sees for what it truly is.

Meanwhile, the Umuahia–Bende–Ohafia Road, often paraded as Kalu’s “achievement,” remains a glaring reminder of seven years of unfulfilled promises, during which he failed to provide electricity or meaningful development to his constituents. Governor Otti, in contrast, has transformed the landscape of Abia State in just three years. The difference between empty rhetoric and tangible results could not be clearer.

To Kalu’s data boys and hallelujah team: focus on facts. Ndi Abia are not interested in character assassination or media hype. They care about roads, schools, electricity, healthcare, and governance that truly delivers. Ambassador Offor’s dedication and unrepentant support for Governor Otti is born out of his integrity and promise kept because Governor Otti is a man who says something and stands by it.

Politics is not a playground for insults or fantasies. Ndi Abia deserve leaders who act, deliver, and transform their communities, not those who rely on rhetoric to mask years of inaction. Governor Otti’s achievements speak for themselves, and no amount of spin, ridicule, or personal attacks can change that reality.

It is time for Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu to focus on his legislative responsibilities rather than chasing political vanity. Ambassador Offor, through his unwavering goodwill, insists that efforts be channelled toward genuine development rather than distracting the Governor from delivering the dividends of democracy that Ndi Abia rightly deserve. We have moved beyond empty promises; it is results that matter, and results they shall have.
