New Law Targets Ticketless Stadium Entry in England and Wales

A new law in England and Wales now makes it illegal to enter a football stadium without a valid ticket. Fans caught sneaking in, using fake tickets, or posing as staff could face penalties including a football banning order of up to five years and fines of up to £1,000.

The legislation comes ahead of major matches to address fan safety concerns and prevent incidents like overcrowding or disorder caused by unauthorised spectators.

Officials say the measure is designed to protect paying fans and ensure events remain secure, giving authorities stronger powers to deter risky behaviour at stadiums.

Police and stadium management have welcomed the law, emphasizing its role in maintaining order and making football matches safer for everyone in attendance.
