A federal lawmaker from Abia State has revealed that Governor Alex Otti is not expected to oppose President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The lawmaker, representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency Ginger Onwusibe, made the statement during the launch of a community power‑lighting project in Bende Local Government Area, noting that both leaders “deserve a second term” based on their records in office.

He emphasized that while the view was personal, Otti has the potential to deliver support for Tinubu’s campaign in Abia State, citing his own long-standing political experience and praising the governor’s performance relative to his predecessors.

The solar power project, according to officials, is designed to enhance public safety and community confidence, with new lighting installations already benefiting local residents.
