The Abia Youth Governance Council has called on former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, to remain steadfast in his support for good governance and developmental strides in Abia State, assuring that history will honour his contributions to the state’s progress.
In a statement issued on Friday by the leader of the group Comrade Chukwuneke Obi on behalf of the members in Umuahia, the youth group commended Ogah for what it described as his consistent display of statesmanship and patriotism, particularly in acknowledging and supporting the ongoing reforms and infrastructural advancements under the administration of Dr. Alex Otti. The Council noted that such bipartisan cooperation is essential for sustainable development.
The group emphasized that at a time when political differences often hinder progress, Ogah’s disposition stands as a model for responsible leadership, placing the interest of Abia people above personal or party considerations. According to the Council, this approach reflects a deep commitment to unity and collective growth.
“Your continued support for policies and initiatives that uplift Abians will not go unnoticed. Posterity will be kind to leaders who choose development over division,” the statement read, urging other political stakeholders to emulate the same spirit of cooperation.
The Abia Youth Governance Council further reiterated its commitment to promoting accountability, transparency, and youth inclusion in governance, stressing that the future of the state depends largely on collaborative efforts across political divides.
The group concluded by encouraging all well-meaning Abians to rally behind the present administration’s vision while fostering constructive engagement that will accelerate the pace of development across the state.
