The management of Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) in Sagamu, Ogun State, has strongly condemned the assault of one of its staff members by relatives of a patient.

Reacting to the incident, the hospital reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward any form of violence against healthcare workers, warning that anyone involved in such acts will be identified, arrested, and prosecuted according to the law.

The management emphasized that the safety and dignity of its personnel remain a top priority, noting that healthcare workers dedicate themselves daily to saving lives and delivering quality medical services.

It also confirmed that the affected staff member is receiving proper medical care and support.

OOUTH urged patients, their families, and the general public to cooperate with medical personnel and maintain mutual respect at all times, stressing that violence undermines effective healthcare delivery.

The hospital reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
