A student of the University of Jos is reportedly fighting for his life after being subjected to severe abuse by suspected bandits who abducted him and are now demanding a ransom of N30 million.

According to reports, the victim was taken by the armed group and held in captivity under harsh conditions. During his ordeal, he was allegedly tortured repeatedly, leaving him in critical condition as his captors continue to pressure his family for payment.

Sources familiar with the incident revealed that disturbing images and videos were circulated, showing the extent of the victim’s suffering. The kidnappers reportedly issued threats, warning that failure to meet their financial demand could lead to dire consequences.

The incident has sparked outrage and renewed concerns over the growing insecurity affecting students and residents in parts of northern Nigeria. Kidnapping for ransom has become increasingly widespread, with criminal groups targeting vulnerable individuals to extract large sums of money.

As of the time of reporting, there has been no confirmed update on any rescue effort or arrest connected to the case, while anxious relatives and members of the public continue to call for urgent intervention to save the student’s life.
