Unuavworho Clinches Africa Re Golf Title After Tight Contest at Ikoyi Club

Tony Unuavworho has claimed the top prize at the 2026 Africa Re Golf Tournament for CEOs after finishing with the highest score at the Ikoyi Club 1938 golf section in Lagos.

The competition was closely contested, with several participants pushing for the lead across the final rounds. Unuavworho ultimately came out on top with 38 stableford points, narrowly beating Ancy Okoebor, who finished just behind on 36 points.

Obinna Okwoji also ended the tournament on 36 points but settled for third place based on tie-breaking criteria.

The event brought together senior executives and golf enthusiasts in a display of competitive but friendly sporting action.

Speaking after his win, Unuavworho credited consistency and focus for his performance and thanked the organisers for putting together a well-run tournament.
