Umuahia, Abia State – A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Senator representing Abia North, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, has commended Governor Alex Chioma Otti for what he described as a new wave of innovation in Abia governance.

Senator Ohuabunwa gave the commendation on Saturday during the birthday celebration of renowned pharmacist, entrepreneur, and statesman, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa.

Speaking at the event, the PDP stalwart noted that Otti’s leadership style had already begun to set Abia on a new path.

“You have started an innovation in Abia State and we must all emulate you,” Ohuabunwa said, drawing applause from dignitaries and guests at the well-attended ceremony.

The gathering, which attracted political leaders, traditional rulers, captains of industry, and cultural figures, was not only a celebration of Sam Ohuabunwa’s legacy but also a platform where leaders stressed the need for unity and development in the state.

Observers have described Senator Ohuabunwa’s praise as a rare gesture of bipartisan acknowledgment, highlighting the growing recognition of Governor Otti’s reforms
