The Executive Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government Area, Hon. Sunday Ameh Ajunwa, has announced the enforcement of a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the Orokam community, following a troubling increase in kidnappings and violent incidents that have led to loss of lives in recent weeks.

In an official statement released on Saturday, August 16, Ajunwa stated that the curfew will be enforced daily from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., beginning Sunday, August 17, 2025. The restriction will remain in place until further notice.

Ajunwa explained that the decision was taken to curb criminal activities, restrict unnecessary night movements, and create a safer environment for intensified security operations and emergency responses.

He called on residents of the area to adhere strictly to the curfew, urging them to cooperate fully with security agencies in a collective effort to protect lives and maintain peace within the community.
