Former Zimbabwean Striker Tendai Ndoro Passes Away at 40

JOHANNESBURG, Tendai Ndoro, a prominent former striker for Zimbabwe, Orlando Pirates, and Ajax Cape Town, has passed away at the age of 40.

The circumstances surrounding Ndoro’s death remain unclear, although reports indicate he was discovered unresponsive in his apartment in Johannesburg on Monday.

Ndoro began his professional career with Chicken Inn in Zimbabwe, where he quickly garnered attention for his impressive performances, leading to a move to Mpumalanga Black Aces in the Premier Soccer League. He went on to make significant contributions to Orlando Pirates, Ajax Cape Town, and Highlands Park during his career.

Over his tenure with the Pirates, Ndoro played 112 matches and earned 14 caps as a member of the Zimbabwean national team, known as the Warriors. He hung up his boots in 2020 due to health issues.

Orlando Pirates released a statement expressing their heartfelt condolences to Ndoro’s family, friends, and loved ones during this challenging time. The football community mourns the loss of a talented player who left a lasting impact on the sport.
