Dr. Nonye Soludo, the First Lady of Anambra State, has been honoured with the First Lady of the Year (Healthcare and Child Support) award at the 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards and Magazine. The award ceremony, which took place on Friday night, followed a nationwide nomination and public voting process that saw widespread participation from citizens and humanitarian stakeholders across Nigeria.

The event, organised by the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation, recognised Dr. Soludo for her outstanding leadership and humanitarian efforts through her signature initiative, “Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo.” The campaign has made significant impact in promoting community health awareness, maternal and child care, nutrition education, and support for vulnerable families in both rural and urban parts of Anambra State.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Soludo expressed gratitude to the organisers and the Nigerian public for acknowledging her work and voting in her favour. She reflected on the journey of her health advocacy, which began over 19 years ago as a personal passion and has now grown into a statewide movement.

Dedicating the award to the Healthy Living team and the children of Anambra, she said: “To all of you who join me every Saturday for our workouts and to every child whose life has been touched by our efforts — this award is for you. You are the heart of what we do.”
