The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has confirmed that the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will begin nationwide on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, across all designated orientation camps.

In a statement released via its official Facebook page on Monday, the scheme said registration will run until midnight on Friday, September 26, while the swearing-in ceremony will hold the same day. The three-week exercise will conclude with a passing-out ceremony on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. However, the orientation in Kwara State will run on a different schedule, starting on Tuesday, September 30, and ending on Monday, October 20, 2025.

NYSC Director-General, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, urged all prospective corps members (PCMs) to report to the camps indicated in their call-up letters and comply fully with registration requirements. He warned against the use of fake documents, stressing that offenders would be handed over to security agencies for prosecution. Foreign-trained graduates are required to present their international passports and original uploaded documents, while graduates of monotechnics and polytechnics must produce their National Diploma certificates.

The scheme also provided guidance for cases of missing call-up letters and highlighted safety concerns, advising PCMs to avoid night travel and to break their journeys at military or police barracks, NYSC secretariats, or corps lodges if necessary. Nafiu further cautioned corps members to use only government-approved motor parks and transport services. He added that married, pregnant, and nursing mothers posted outside their husbands’ states could complete the orientation in their states of residence, provided they present valid proof.

For registration, corps members must present their original call-up letters, statements of result or certificates, school ID cards, and medical fitness certificates from government or military hospitals. Medical and allied health graduates are also required to show proof of registration with their professional bodies. Wishing PCMs safe travels, the NYSC boss expressed confidence in a successful service year.
