Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has formally demanded a written retraction, public apology, and N100 billion in damages from former Commissioner for Information, Hon. Barr. Eze Chikamnayo, popularly known as Iyierioba Chikamnayo, over alleged defamatory online publications.

In a letter dated October 2, 2025, and signed by his legal counsel, Dr. Sonny Ajala, SAN of Deeplaw Associates, Otti accused Chikamnayo of persistently publishing false and malicious statements against him on his Facebook page, “Iyierioba Chikamnayo.”

The governor’s legal team described the posts as a calculated attempt to tarnish his reputation and mislead the public, stressing that the demands must be met to avoid further legal action.
