Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has restated his government’s commitment to protecting lives and property, urging residents of Kirawa in Gwoza Local Government Area to remain resilient despite recent security challenges.
The governor gave the assurance during a visit to the border community on Thursday, following an attack that left at least three people dead and razed several homes and shops.
Kirawa, located near Cameroon, was first displaced by Boko Haram insurgents in 2014 but resettled in 2022 under Zulum’s administration. Since then, farming and other socio-economic activities had steadily returned until the latest incident disrupted progress.
