Bende Deputy Mayor Challenges Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu: ‘Show Us What You’ve Done With Your Huge Allowances’

The Deputy Mayor of Bende Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Anya, has openly challenged the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, to account for his stewardship in Bende Federal Constituency.

In a strongly worded statement, Anya criticized Kalu for what she described as a lack of visible impact in his constituency despite receiving substantial monthly allowances.

“Your monthly allowances as Deputy Speaker are close to a state allocation. Show us what you’ve done in Bende, your constituency. Just pick the governorship ticket and stop pallabullating,” Anya declared.

Her remarks have sparked widespread reactions within political circles in Abia State, with many describing the statement as a rare and bold challenge to one of the state’s most prominent political figures.
