President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor (rtd), on his 60th birthday, praising his courage, patriotism, and outstanding service to the nation.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Irabor as a “true war commander and defender” who played a pivotal role in leading Nigeria’s military operations during the peak of the Boko Haram insurgency.

Hailing from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, General Irabor was commended by the President for his dedication and leadership in safeguarding the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

Tinubu also lauded Irabor for his recently launched book on the Boko Haram insurgency, noting that it offers valuable insights to better understand and tackle terrorism and related security challenges.

The President wished the retired general many more years of good health and continued service to the nation.
