A serving officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC) Lawal Tukur, has been found dead in a hotel room in Katsina metropolis under mysterious circumstances.

According to reports, the officer was discovered lifeless on Thursday morning after allegedly spending the night with three unidentified women. Hotel staff raised the alarm when the occupants failed to respond to repeated knocks on the door.

Security operatives were promptly called to the scene, and the body was evacuated to a nearby hospital for examination. The three women reportedly fled the hotel before the discovery, prompting a manhunt by the police.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death and the whereabouts of the women involved.
