Telecommunications giant Globacom on Friday treated residents of Onitsha, Anambra State, to a vibrant cultural celebration tagged “Evening with Glo”, ahead of this year’s Ofala Festival in honour of the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe.

The colourful event, held at C.J. Paterson Hall on Enugu Road, attracted prominent traditional chiefs, illustrious indigenes, Glo business partners, and loyal subscribers. It was part of the company’s efforts to celebrate and promote Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

According to a statement from Globacom, the night featured electrifying performances by highlife sensation Ikem Mazeli (popularly known as Onye Nwe Egwu) and music star Kcee, both of whom thrilled the audience with energetic sets that had guests dancing and singing along.

Described as a fitting curtain-raiser for the forthcoming Ofala Festival, the event forms part of the Glo Heritage Series, an initiative dedicated to showcasing Nigeria’s diverse traditions through music and culture. Globacom noted that “Evening with Glo” has become a signature platform for cultural celebration, having previously graced major events such as the Ojude Oba Festival, which the company has proudly supported for over two decades.
