The Nigeria Police Force has graduated 325 officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal–Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) Basic Course 20/2025, designed to boost the Force’s readiness against evolving security threats.

The four-week intensive training, held from October 12 to November 7, 2025, at the Police Mobile Force Training College in Ende Hills, Nasarawa State, equipped participants with advanced knowledge in detecting, handling, and neutralizing explosive and hazardous materials.

In a statement released on X on Wednesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the exercise was part of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s strategic vision to strengthen the Force’s operational capacity and resilience.

Represented at the ceremony by the Commissioner of Police in charge of the EOD-CBRN Command, CP Hauwa Ibrahim, the IGP commended the officers for their discipline and commitment, while acknowledging the support of partners such as the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), The HALO Trust, the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA), and the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.

He also lauded contributions from specialized units including the Directorate of Force Medical Services, the Forensics Section of the Force Criminal Investigation Department, and the Counter Terrorism Unit. Egbetokun reaffirmed the Police Force’s commitment to continuous capacity building, assuring Nigerians that the newly trained officers would play a crucial role in strengthening national security and combating terrorism, particularly the threats posed by Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents.
