The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has advised all candidates shortlisted for its ongoing Computer-Based Test (CBT) recruitment exercise to log into the examination portal 30 minutes before the start time each day.

This directive was contained in a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by the Secretary to the Board, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril. He explained that the online CBT, which began on Wednesday, will run until next week, with sessions commencing daily at 9:00 a.m.

Jibril emphasized that only candidates officially scheduled for each session will be able to access the portal, which opens 30 minutes before the exam begins. Participants are to log in via recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, complete photo verification, and remain in the virtual waiting room until the test starts automatically.

The Board cautioned candidates to strictly follow examination guidelines, as the system is AI-proctored to detect malpractice, third-party interference, and device manipulation. It advised participants to ensure a reliable internet connection, stable power supply, and use of a suitable device—preferably a laptop. Mobile phone use or interruptions such as calls or app switching may trigger violation alerts that could lead to automatic disqualification.

Jibril further noted that candidates who get disconnected during the test can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped. The CDCFIB had earlier released the names of shortlisted candidates for the recruitment exercise on October 30.
