United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has launched direct flights from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin. The announcement was made in a statement by the airline’s spokesperson, Chibuike Uloka.
The airline described the new route as a milestone in its efforts to enhance domestic connectivity, offering reliable and efficient air travel to more Nigerian cities. This follows UNA’s recent inauguration of direct flights to Accra, Ghana, where the first aircraft was named after the late President Jerry Rawlings. The airline now operates a fleet of nine aircraft.
Uloka highlighted the airline’s commitment to supporting Ilorin’s social and economic development. “With every new destination, we reaffirm our mantra—Flying to Unite—bringing Nigerians closer to opportunities, culture, and commerce,” he said. Tickets are available on flyunitednigeria.com and through accredited agents nationwide.
UNA also revealed plans for further network expansion, including direct flights from Lagos and Abuja to Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport starting 10 December 2025, and from Kano to Chinua Achebe Airport, Anambra, beginning 15 December 2025. The airline said these routes reflect its mission to connect travellers across Nigeria safely, reliably, and on time.
