An Ibom Air flight traveling from Abuja to Lagos on Thursday was forced to abandon its landing attempt due to severe weather conditions in Lagos. The aircraft reportedly circled the area for about 30 minutes as the pilot assessed the situation.

When visibility failed to improve, the pilot made the decision to return to Abuja, bringing passengers back safely after roughly two hours in the air. Some passengers commended the pilot for maintaining calm and professionalism throughout the experience.

As of the time of the incident, the airline had not released an official statement. Recent weather challenges have caused increased disruptions for airlines across the country, leading to more delays, diversions, and cancellations.
