Military Seizes ISWAP-Bound Supplies, Vehicles, and Cash in Borno

Troops from Sector 2 of the Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in partnership with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have intercepted two pick-up trucks carrying supplies believed to be destined for Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants in Borno State.

The interception was carried out following credible intelligence about the movement of the items from Dapchi in Yobe State toward the Magumeri area of Borno. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, troops stopped the vehicles along the route.

Recovered items include two vehicles, 31 spare tyres, 23 rims, two bicycles, 12 ignition starters, three alternators, flour, garri, yam tubers, charcoal, blankets, assorted clothing for adults and children, six mobile phones, a power bank, and cash in various denominations. The drivers of the vehicles are currently in custody for questioning.

The successful operation highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-driven missions and the strong collaboration between military forces and local security partners in disrupting terrorist supply chains.

OPHK troops remain committed to restricting terrorist movements, dismantling supply networks, and safeguarding civilians across the North-East.
