Former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, has requested a new date to honour a police invitation connected to an ongoing investigation into an alleged plot.
Danagogo was invited by operatives of the Nigeria Police to appear for questioning in Abuja but was unable to do so on the scheduled date. In a response sent through his legal representatives, he explained that he was out of town at the time and asked that the meeting be postponed to a later date.
The police invitation is linked to an investigation arising from a leaked telephone conversation that reportedly mentioned an alleged plan involving a senior political figure. Danagogo has not been formally charged, and the allegations remain under investigation.
As of the time of reporting, the police have not publicly confirmed whether the requested rescheduling will be granted.
