The Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress, Samha Inuwa, over an alleged act of naira mutilation.
Inuwa was taken into custody on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, following the circulation of a viral video on social media in which she was reportedly seen using naira notes to clean mucus from her nose.
According to the Commission, the video prompted immediate action as operatives traced and apprehended the actress for questioning.
She is currently being held at the EFCC detention facility in Kano while investigations continue.
The Commission stated that she will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
