Dangote Refinery Secures Deal to Supply 65 Million Litres of Petrol Daily

Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has signed a major distribution agreement to supply up to 65 million litres of petrol daily across Nigeria. The arrangement involves selected petroleum marketers to ensure a reliable and consistent nationwide supply.

The refinery’s output is expected to meet the country’s average daily petrol demand, which typically ranges between 50 million and 60 million litres, with any surplus earmarked for export to regional markets.

Industry experts believe the initiative will reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported fuel, improve supply stability, and help conserve foreign exchange. The coordinated distribution plan is also expected to minimize supply bottlenecks and stabilize petrol prices across the country.

Officials say the agreement represents a key step in strengthening Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector by aligning domestic refining capacity with efficient distribution.
