Operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission have reportedly discovered sophisticated surveillance gadgets and classified security documents during an operation in Abuja connected to former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

According to findings, the items were recovered from a property believed to have ties to the ex-governor. The equipment is suspected to have been used for unauthorized monitoring activities, raising fresh concerns about potential breaches of national security.

Investigators also uncovered documents considered highly sensitive, prompting further scrutiny into how such materials were obtained and stored outside official channels. Authorities are said to be examining whether any laws were violated in the handling of the devices and documents.

The commission has not yet released a full statement on the development, but insiders suggest that the discovery could lead to a wider probe involving multiple individuals. The situation has sparked debate over accountability and the misuse of security-related assets in the country.
